This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position as a laboratory manager in the Respiratory Neurophysiology and Plasticity Research Laboratory (aka Huxtable Lab). Candidates should have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, be a good communicator, develop and implement organizational and other policies to facilitate lab functioning, have scientific curiosity and a desire to learn. It is ideal for candidates to have experience with basic molecular and cellular biology techniques, basic physiology, and animal handling.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in an appropriate field of science, engineering or technology.
Preferred Qualifications: Master of Science degree. Experience with animals, electrophysiology, and/or laboratory management is a bonus.

Department Accounting Technician
This is a full-time, classified Accounting Technician position in the Department of Human Physiology within the College of Arts and Sciences. The position reports to the Human Physiology Department Manager. The primary functions of this position are to process accounts payable, travel reimbursements, account reconciliations and all aspects of financial record keeping for both state indexes and grant funds. The position will also work on special projects, especially as related to coordinating the department seminar series, grant record keeping, scheduling, and assisting the graduate and undergraduate students of the department.
