Congratulations to HPHY Associate Professor Dr. Adrianne Huxtable on receiving the distinguished Faculty Excellence Award
The recipients of the Fund for Faculty Excellence not only achieve a high level of scholarship and contributions to their field but are key participants in developing and defining the academic mission of the university through service and daily work. Dr. Huxtable’s newest study was featured in this Around the O article detailing her work of the effects of opioid use during pregnancy.
Congratulations also in order for Dr. Carrie McCurdy who received seed funding from the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation to pursue interdisciplinary research projects. The Incubating Interdisciplinary Initiatives awards, known as I3 awards, will provide up to $50,000.

Dr. Nicki Swann’s research in EEG data was recently highlighted in the Oregon Quarterly, the official magazine of the University of Oregon in an in depth article about the University’s newest major Neuroscience.
