HPHY mourns loss of former Adjunct Faculty Dr. Dick Brown
The sad news of the passing of Dr. Dick Brown rippled through HPHY and the Track and Field community this past weekend. It was reported that Dick lost his 6 year battle with cancer at the age of 78 on Saturday February 27th.
Dr. Brown was a top US track & field coach, Physiologist and a long-time adjunct faculty member of Human Physiology. He coached many highly decorated athletes including Mary Decker (Slaney), Marla Runyan and Suzy Favor (Hamilton), all top middle distance runners throughout his long career.
A celebration of life will be announced later this Spring.
