High school preparation

High school preparation for undergraduate studies in human physiology should include a strong background in English, mathematics, biology, chemistry, and physics. University-wide information on admissions is available at the following link: University Admissions and General Requirements

Transfer students

Before transferring, students should have completed as many general-education requirements and prerequisites to major courses as possible, including general chemistry, general biology, and general physics. Students should plan on taking anatomy and human physiology courses at the University of Oregon. It is possible to take a course in medical terminology at many other universities and community colleges.
